I want to hear peoples opinion on this topic. Firstly this differs from Taktical's thread on "SEO for E-Commerce Sites".

Many people make money from Amazon's Associates program but usually they make micro niche websites that focus on one sole niche. These are usually easily to rank as they have low competition in google and it doesn't cost much to maintain. (Purchase a decent SEO package and you are ranking on the first page already;) ). But what if you changed the norm and created one main Authority site? How would you rank it? It will literally end up having hundreds of product reviews and therefore thousands if not tens of thousands of keywords you could rank for. Now unlike a micro niche site where you may spend $100 on SEO how would you do it for a site like this?
Yes, you could spend $100 on every product review but that seems ineffective and too costly.

Would you purchase a service like BassTrackerBoats'/Backlinksgenie which is automated and only costs a certain fee every month?

How would you rank a product review site that reviews hundreds of products?
    Thanks

You would rank it page by page, for individual keywords. If you're willing to pay $100 on services for a MNS to rank for a single keyword, why wouldn't you do the same for a single keyword as a page part of a bigger site?

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying but one issue. Let's say you rank each page individually. This will either take a large amount of time as you have to spread the individual reviews out OR you do it at one time but that would require a large amount of capital.
I guess what I am thinking is, do you aim to make your site so authoritative that google essentially ranks you high instantly (e.g wikipedia).
    Thanks

There's a trade-off any way you do it. If you wanna rank it fast, you'll need more money. If you lack funds then you'll have to rank it slower. From a growing in authority point of view, the slower route is the better one. Wikipedia didn't grow overnight and neither should your site.

Thanks again. I don't expect my site to grow exponentially overnight. I am in it for the long run. Thank you for replies and assistance Damagex.
