Ranking a not-english website with english backlinks (pyramids T1+T2)

I regularly rank english sites using, among various strategies, pyramids with T1, T2 and T3 layers.

But now I'm trying to rank a not-english website (italian) and, since all the seo tools I have they use only english texts, I wonder if it can work building pyramids of english backlinks for a website in other language.

Any experience to share? Does anyone have any experience to share about ranking non-english websites?

It might work, if those Links are good and have the same topic.
I think you should get some "italian" or from that area located links. Why should anyone from us link to your site / content. It has to be something good or special. Otherwise i dont think it will count that much.

Personally i never did and would not do that.
