    I have a 3 month old EMD.co.uk

The structure I choose was to target a niche and the pages target the sub niche. The articles (blog posts) are made to kind of provide internal links pointing back to the pages.

My goal is to rank the domain for the main keyword + a bunch of secondary sub niche keywords.

    Using Scrapebox

I used scrapebox to build links to it and continue to do so. My opinion is that if I continue building links at a steady pace then it shouldn't be penalized. Is this correct?

Web 2.0, blog posts & Article Directories

Using posterous/blogger/myopera and the Wordpress Subscribe2 plugin, all my posts are automatically syndicated to these three, additionally I create some other web 2.0's to point to my main site.

Further more, I also purchased some guest blog posts (High PR, Moz Authority of 40+) to link back to my site + a couple of articles on 3 article directories.

    Press releases

So far made use of PRlog/PitchEngine (free version) to submit press releases.

Presently, i'm ranking #1 in Bing for a bunch of keywords that i'm targeting, but the targeted URL's are not shown instead tag pages are being displayed.

With google its a different story. The guest blog posts are ranking higher than my money site.

    1. Should I continue to keep the pace of building backlinks via SB?
    2. MajesticSEO shows 2k indexed backlinks, is it considered a normal amount for a 3 month old site?
    3. How can I correct the issue about ranking the targeted pages instead of domain.co.uk/tag/some-keyword

Thanks in advance for your inputs

    1. Shouldn't be a problem, but point those links to your web 2.0 properties to avoid getting your money site directly caught in any bad neighborhoods.

    2. Yep, that's not too much IMO. Although keep in mind that Majestic doesn't list all backlinks, so G is probably seeing more than those.

    3. I'm sure whatever SEO plugin you're using has the option to set tag archives as noindex. Shouldn't take too long for G to pick up on that.

Otherwise, sounds like you're doing just fine for the 3-month mark! :)

    Thanks for your inputs.

If I noindex tags, then I could potentially lose out on whatever visibility I have at the moment and perhaps lose out on the rankings all together? Wouldn't this be kind of shooting myself in the foot? Or by noindexing the tags, would it give more prominence to the pages that i'm targeting?

I'm using Yoast's Wordpress SEO, would changing (lowering) the priority for tags be of any help?

I think you are doing it the hard way.

I would just pick up a copy of article marketing robot ($97), and blast your EMD with article directory links.

Take all the live links from the blast and build a second tier using an AA list and Scrapebox.

Scrapebox blasts directly to your site won't really help you that much even if you consistently do it.

This would be a crude simple yet effective method.

Of course throwing in some web 2.0s, bookmarks, forum profiles etc. will help too.

Also syndicating your work that is on your site won't really offer you too much value either.

Don't get too caught up in tagging plugins, they won't really make that much of a difference in your SEO efforts.

So guys its been a while and i'm back to update on the progress. Most of the keywords have really moved up in the serps. Attribute this to two services that I have ordered here from BST.

However, my problem is that the right url's are not showing up. Any tips on how to get this fixed?
