Would it be worth it to attempt? Ranking a .info for a keyword not in the domain name.
Only do it if it's your absolute last option. There has to be something better...
I wouldn't. Especially if it doesn't have the keyword, just get a .com.
Unless you prefer the price of a .info?
I wouldnt even consider that. Next keyword .
No what happened is I got the .info for a different purpose, found out some more information and decided what I was doing at first was a waste of time. So now I'm trying to use them for something. So I found some good keywords and I was thinking about making the keywords the site name and trying to rank em.
keyword in url is much better
Update: I changed the name of the site and it's number 7 for the new keyword no backlinking done since the change.
You changed it to an EMD?
he changed the site title
Nice.. I've been looking into setting up an auto-blog ring for PR links. Been wanting to try .info because I don't want to dump $100 into a bad idea.
Been very wary about it after reading many negative things about ranking .info domains (even though Google claims to have no hard feelings against them). This is reassuring.
Yea .infos get a bad rap. Maybe it depends on circumstances. I really did absolutely no backlinking I just changed the main keyword. I changed the anchors, rewrote a few articles and that was it. Not a single new backlink.
Separate names with a comma.
