Suppose I post a very detailed and helpful guide on my blog related tk how to fight against a specific google update. The guide is so good that a lot of users share it on seo forums they are active on. Can I get guarenteed first rank with this approach for related keywords?

Nothing is guaranteed.
It also depends on what forums it is shared on.
Suppose, 10 mediocre forums. Is there a hope to get ranked? Can google also judge whether these mentions are organically done or forced or paid?

There is always hope, but too many variables exist to give a definitive answer.
It will depend on how much competition there is for the keyword.

If your content consistently gets traction and quality links, it can give you an edge, but no guarantees

Your idea is good but you're still stuck in hypotheticals. The purpose of ranking on Google Search is traffic and if Google brings it, then it's a plus advantage.

I've experimented with forum links in the past and for me they never had much impact on the site. It is a lot of effort for too little reward. You can always use this for brand awareness purposes or direct traffic but if you want to directly impact SEO, you are better off getting quality links from blogs.

If you can do it organically means not spamming forums and provide accurate and detailed information.

It's not guaranteed but you will definitely get some traction.

I see forum links as low value links, mostly using them for direct traffic if it´s an active forum from members there.
Agreed. I've got a few forum links that are bringing in a lot of targeted traffic, but these links on their own haven't pushed the needle in terms of rankings
