So, I'm using rank tracker, traffic travis, market samurai and free monitor for google.

If I'll pick up "US RANKINGS" and then click seach, my site is on #9 spot.
If I use a proxy with any of those programs, my site is #2.
In browser, if Im using US proxy I'm getting #2 aswell.

SAME GOES ABOUT SEO COMPETITION RESEARCH ETC. RESULTS ARE DIFFERENT.

The real ones are when proxy is used.

    Any ideas why?!

I am using it on both my computers and it gives accurate results with no proxies :)

If I'm right, the results may vary depending of the geographical location and a few other factors.

Is this your first day doing SEO?
SEO results are different depending on the location (IP) used. If you want to check US rankings, than you obviously need to use US proxies, preferably several different US proxies from different parts of the country. All rank tracking can do for you is automate the process, it's not a magic rank checker.

I think tracking software tracks pages in which 100 results are shown are in page so that they need less proxies. While we search 10 results are shown on each page. Also maybe different data centers are showing slightly different results. I use SeScout and they are normally off as well.

Rank tracker from link assistant is the best on the market.

I also use them, I have used them for years.... Lately though I have found them to be off. I use the free version, so this could be why. Is it better to use a proxy when you use these types of software? I never really thought of that before??

I'd also recommend RankTracker. Have been using it for a couple of years, and it just rocks. If set up and used correctly, it will give you correct results.

Do you guys use proxies on rank tracker to keep results consistent? I'm guessing that won't work with the copy in downloads :p

I own an SEO company and use Rank Tracker...it works great. :)

If you switch ips or oversearch a term within a certain time frame Google calculates the frequency and starts skewing data...

Watch # of searches, pos #, and competition... The more you monitor a term the more frequently they change.

That is probably where I am going wrong then. Normally it has been rock solid for me, but lately I had been having some trouble with it. I was thinking maybe because I am suppose to use a proxy.... I just use my regular ip.
