Rank doesn't move at all for an easy keyword.

Sent ~15-20 PBN links at a very easy keyword (~6 or 7 on top 10 don't have more than 15-19 DA and less than 20 PA), the weird thing is that I sent the links ~2 weeks ago so that's plenty of time, the keyword first showed up at #22 without any links at all and after sending the links it went down to #40's and it's back up to #31.

No idea why it just won't move up for such easy keywords.

I have another article targetting a similar keyword where the keyword changes only 1 single word and haven't sent a single link, it first showed up at #32 and it's up to #21 with 0 links.

I don't understand, same exact competition, similar keyword where only 1 word changes and the one I'm actually trying to boost won't move up but the one I don't touch does move up.

PS: I know google dance exists but I've never seen google dance lasting ~2 weeks, it's usually at most 1 week.

It takes longer now for Google to update the rankings, at least for me. Most of my sites are low competition and only after 30-40 days I see adjustments so, wait a little longer and see what happens. Another thing that could be that your competitor has a hidden PBN so you don't see the real PA/DA. Try to look for it and see what they got.

Are the pages with your PBN links indexed?
Do you know for a fact that the PBN works/is not compromised?
How is your content doing in terms of quality and engagement?
How are other pages/kwds on your domain performing?

I know it takes longer but what's odd is that for a keyword with pretty much the same competition, the only page I'm not boosting at all is the one moving up fast as hell. And no I'm 100% sure they aren't using PBNs

Not all of them but a big majority are, not sure what else I can do to get their posts indexed though, without leaving a footprint that is.

    PBN is clean.

In terms of content both articles are ~1.2-1.5k words with a bounce rate of 65%.

I have once sent links to my website, waited for 1+ full month before seeing the impact. If I were you, I will give it another 2 weeks or more...

From an old-school SEO perspective, the only conclusion I can make is that your PBN is not as clean as you think it is. Or, that the dance is a bit longer in this case.

Can you tell us the niche?

Maybe look at the number of links the other sites have to the ranked pages and also compare anchor text diversity.

Yeah, according to that you should rank without many problems. I must say that I'm in the same with few sites, similar competition to yours and still, ranking is hard and slow. Hopefully someone will say something that can speed up the process.

Hmm strange one. What about your other anchors, what is the percentage of direct / partial / LSI ? Aside from that, maybe it is just a prolonged dance?

When you have started to work on these keywords, normally it takes some time to get ranking in Google now days. Because these types of links will take some more times to get indexing when compare to high quality top backlinks.

Hope your keywords will get some improvement shortly :)

Google is fucking strange after the latest update... Try to send most backlinks to inner pages instead home page.

exactly same happening with me. My ranking isn't moving like anything.
keyword is pretty easy with almost no competition and no links pointing to top 20 pages. Still my site is great quality with more than 2000 words each post, 10-12 post.
Site will moderately optimized for on site, silo. Posts are well formatted with sections and subsections etc.

    Still i'm failed.

You are not alone in this situtation.. I'm building 2 websites.. One is for clickbank and other one amazon affiliate... On site seo,easy-med keywords, keyword density perfect and guess what both websites don't move at all... Stable at positions like a rock. I even don't see any google dance or any sign.

The DAs dont look that high (apart from the 88) but the PAs are highish. Are thise mostly homepages that are ranking?

Interesting that none of the sites have the KW in page title. What position are you when you search intitle:"yourkeyword"?

2 weeks??? Try 10 months of sending PBN links for a low competition keyword and my site is still stuck on page 2.

Point some social signals / 2.0's at it and see if that helps, ranking is taking a REAL LONG time right now with PBN's.

I don't think the competition is relevant here, because I HIGHLY doubt that the top 30 competitors for that keyword are using a hidden PBN .. Maybe the top one or 2, but not 30, so you SHOULD see some positive movement when building links to it ... but you haven't, so my guess would be that it's not enough time. Give a couple more weeks to see if there is any positive movement.

If not, then maybe try a different approach. I have had success sending PBN links to smaller pages of my site, then sending an internal link from that page to the main page I want to rank. Weird, I know, but it seemed to work.

Also, now that Google is targeting websites on a page per page basis, if your small pages get hit, you can just remove the PBN links and use another small page as a 'buffer' without losing out on income, where as if you sent all your PBN links to the money page directly, if it gets hit, you could be out of pocket for several weeks or months before you recover it.
