Rank a NL domain on the German market, possible?

Hi
I've found a good expired domain name but it's a .NL and I am targeting the German market .
The NL domain contains the dutch kws I'm targeting ,and since The Netherlands and Deutschland speak the same language do you think it will rank as fine as .DE or .COM?
German people , have you ever seen NL domains ranking on German Google serps?

Isn't it the case ? I could be wrong but I googled and it says NL official language is dutch

Dutch is NL, Deutsch or German is DE

So there are no NL results in German serps?
I thought dutch and Deutsch were the same

Ok thanks for the advice guys ,that's a pity because this domain has exactly the Deutsch words I'm targeting. Anyway I'll go for something else ,probably a .Com
