What's this guys deal? He has a greased back quiff/coif [IMG] and does some shiteboard friday thing, and seems to be invited to all these conferences and stuff. On twitter he bum licks that tool Matt Cutts. He talks about shitty white hat stuff like 'link bait' and 'content signals' and social signals, like fucking Google is some AI. Some of that shit works (a bit) but is pointless in competitive niches like weight loss. He is always 'outing' sites that rank for whatever political reason. I kind of want to grab his quiff head and stick it hard in a massive bowl of jelly. [IMG] Thoughts?

He's incredibly smart... I don't hate on him. I've actually learned a ton from him and SEOMoz webinars and articles. He's just straight white hate that's all. But he knows his shit, that's for sure.

And link bait if done right is genius.

I agree with googlemonster if you follow SEOmoz's stuff it will take you forever, if ever to rank. And if you are in a competitive niche then you are shit out of luck. Oh and what is the difference between guest posting and using article networks? If done correctly using article networks is just a faster way to rank.

Well apparently in that area the only difference is mass posting vs single posts, which take forever, whitehat is ok for about.com because they spam the web with their content.

I learnt some stuff from rumpelstiltskin not that much though. He is generally Google's way of keeping all us SEO's in check. Wouldn't surprise me if he's on the payroll there.
