A blessed month is casting its shadow upon us
A night of this month is better than a thousand months
Bear with patience for the sake of Ar-Rahman
It's a continuous training to strengthen our Imaan.

Glory be to Allah who sent Ramadan as a mercy to mankind
Its a purification of our soul, our heart, and our mind
With the most sincere devotion and love we fast
To be cleansed and free from sins of the past

Glorified is He, who choseth this holy month,
To test our sabr and fill our hearts with warmth
Of his Divine Light, His blessings shall glow,
The Seer of the unseen, all He does know

Ya Allah! For thee, let my breath be more pleasant than musk
Ya Allah! For thee, let me be thankful when day turns to dusk
My thoughts and heart are purified, my eyes truly see'
This blessed month, the month of spiritual rhapsody!

Ya Allah! For thee, my life I shall live!
Ya Allah! For thee, my soul I shall give!
In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Kind,
Praise be to Allah, who sent Ramadan as a gift to mankind

Happy ramadan to you too OP

It is not like starving 30 days continuously lolz. From sunrise to sunset (get an idea of the timeframe). You have no idea how much people eat before and after the sunset. :D:D

@OP don't you think the poem is a little too much for BHW?

    To you too. :)
It's not continuous fasting. :) You get to take a break. And fasting is a part of almost all religion. Christians have Lent (40 days) Hindus have Navratri ( 9 + 9).:D

If you are seriously trying to lose weight.
Try intermittent fasting (search it up) + Ketogenic Diet
    (Talking from experience)

I guess it's the mindset during this month. When I'm not fasting I'm always hungry, I can't not eat for more than 4 hours normally. After three days it's pretty easy, it's just a little bit boring but definitely worth the reward at the end. Ramadan mubarak all. :)

Dude, he wanted to wish Muslim members here. (like wishing Merry christmas, get it?) Let's not make this into a debate.
    (BHW is not the place)

My brother goes to work 8am every morning. He never eats breakfast (just lots of coffee). He nearly always works straight through lunch. Then gets home around 6pm, eats 1 huge meal and passes out.

He's been living like this 15+ yrs now and isn't Muslim.

Ramadan Mubarak. InshaAllah everyone has a blessed and safe Ramadan.

With that being said I am going to clean this thread a bit. If I see another disrespectful post afterwards I am banning the member without a question. If you don't like it speak to an admin.

No, religious threads are not allowed, but for years we here at BHW have wished everyone well on every religious holiday. We have never had any issues with doing so.

It sucks to see this forum being taken over by so many trolls!
