"Barcelona player Dani Alves had the perfect response to a racist taunt in Sunday's game against Villarreal. In the second half a fan threw a banana at him - something that still happens to black players with troubling frequently across Europe.

Instead of ignoring it or informing the official, Alves picked up the banana, peeled it, ate it, and then took the corner kick with a mouth full of banana.

That's one way to combat racism"

Can't post video links. But you can search for it easily.

I would rather see Alves jump into the stands and shove that banana up the scumbags arse.

Makes me laugh everytime Fifa and Uefa parade their "Fair Play" and "say no to racism" flags before matches and then fine huge football clubs $10000 for their fans doing monkey chants and throwing bananas.

Dont hit them in the pocket hit them with points deductions. If Villareal had been docked an automatic point for that fans behaviour Im pretty sure the rest of the stadium would get pretty good with self policing instead of turning a blind eye.

True, but if they would actually implement that system I'm pretty sure some creative fans would get into the opposing team's area to get their points deducted. Cool blackhat sports betting opportunities in that though.

was watching the match last night . Tough I hate barcelona , but i almost clapped when I did that .

You can't possibly imagine the type of beating you could get if you were caught doing this by the other team's supporters. And it's kinda difficult to do that and not get noticed. Most supporters are a tight unit and know each other by face if not by name. Any new comers are scrutinized intensely and are noticed by all fans. And if we're talking about firms and "hooligans", they know most of the other teams firm members as well.

Hmmm I thought a true buddhist did not want any material things - and once they reached that point they were in nirvana.

Yes, you're right but I've seen some documentaries in which, besides the classical "food and gifts", monks receive money from the clergy

If you research some more you'll see lots of documentaries where monks are donated money. In today's world, it's hard not to need paying for stuff (electrical, gas, internet even).

Buddhist here and confirm this. But the thing is that, they got donated money for their living, their mind is still:"get away with life, money, sex and relationship."

So yea, basically both you and IamNRE are correct, fly away*
