I saw someone was trying to give a free service for the beta testing and he simply posted on the forum.

But someone reported the thread and their post was banned after a few min.

Is it not allowed to do so?

    For example:

What if i have a software that i want to give away for free testing.

Doesn't make sense to ban someone from offering a free service out of the marketplace.

Put it in members download section, use approved download site and publish full virus total. It must be ad free and require no need to sign up for anything

I reported it, he wasn't offering anything except trying to sell his service.

Think about it logically, you join and on same day with 1 post count open that type of thread?

If he was a serious seller, he'd have bought access with a seller account to the Marketplace as an authorized seller, as he couldn't become a JR.VIP for 60 days. ( https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/bhw-marketplace-seller-account.864855/ )

So he should be banned because he is a newbie trying to offer a free service out of marketplace?
    Or
The BHW rules say that we need to subscribe for marketplace membership to offer free services to blackhatters?
    Or
He was not offering his service for free and was trying to cheat somehow?(and how did you find that out?)

    ^^ This.

I think it says a lot about the vendor that they aren't willing to operate their account for 60 days and pay the fees to do everything properly. BHW seems like a place where you could earn serious $$$ with the correct product so it would make sense to do everything properly and by the book - it's good PR too at the end of the day.

Like had been said before, you can put anything that's genuinely a BETA test in the download section. If what you're offering is genuinely useful you'll find lots of people on here who are happy to help you out. :)

His thread was pure clickbait, he was announcing he was selling his seo service.
Then he was going to wait for newbies to PM him for prices and details. In the mean time, he'd reach the magical 15 posts ( probably by posting crap ) to be able to spam others by PM.

What he and others fail to understand is the sellers in the Marketplace pay to list their service. Their service is reviewed by a Moderator to see if it matches the advertised offering, then if it passes that test it is opened in the sales thread.

Therefore they deserved to be moved to another category and not getting removed.
I think we are not fair to newbies.
you are clearly telling that they were posting in the wrong section. so the admin should have moved their thread instead of removing it!

Maybe you'd like to explain this to one of the Moderators as to why they are in the wrong?

I'm sure @Zwielicht , @BassTrackerBoats or one of the other Mods would like to hear this.

Was this guy a friend of yours ?

    I'll help you out on this question;

Now the rules here are important, because the idea of beta testing is to prepare to launch it on the Marketplace.

If he was advertising on the site without paying he was violating the rules.

There is literally no place to move a thread like that unless it is in the paid section and since he did not pay we can't move it there.

Everyone is allowed to offer free services, but make sure you read the rules of that particular section posted by one of the MODs and what you offer is not too salesy . Why would MODs want to ban someone for no reasons? BHW has its rules that should not be violated. Rules & warning threads in every section are pinned in the top of that section. Every newbie should engage in the forums at least after taking a look at it. Just because they ban a newbie, that doesn't mean they are not fair to all the newbies. Every experts here are once a newbie. So please cool down. BHW is one great place to learn, discuss, market your product and more. Its all about how you see it.
