Hey everyone,

Here is my File Sharing website journey starting today. I quit my full-time job as a Network engineer to pursue my dream of owning my own file sharing/hosting business. (my side job is wholesaling, who would've thought). Everything has already been setup and ready to go!

Quick specs:
I am utilizing RAID50 technology with a HP P410 RAID Controller with BBU.
SSL Cert: GlobalSign OneClick Alpha
Server is connected to a 1Gbit uplink to maximize data transfer speeds for your convenience. Our goal here is to provide a flexible and affordable File Sharing/Storage service for anyone who wants to store their data with us, any way they want.

Good luck. Why did you choose that name?

edit: you spelt downloads wrong on the affiliate page

Well, this kinda' is self-promotion which isn't really allowed here, but I wish you good luck with your project. Sounds like an interesting idea, I might join myself.

I chose the name for a personal reason. It may seem like an insignificant issue to everyone, but to me it's what drives me. Here is my story.

I chose the word Brother because I wanted to keep the pictures of my best friend (dog) as memories. Don't want to get too deep, but his name was brother and we literally acted like brothers. Our personality and habits were almost identical if you know what I mean, the only difference was that he was a dog. When he passed away, it crushed me. I'm a little socially awkward, so it tells you why I'm really attached to my dog.

When I was kid, my family was dirt poor. I loved computers and technology so much and wanted to learn everything about it. It really fascinated me to the point where I would do anything to learn how it works. I remember it took years of savings from everyone in my family to afford 1 shitty desktop computer. So imagine trying to buy any software, not going to happen. I had that computer for 5 years just playing with it. It broke more times than you can imagine and I fixed it everytime. I recall asking my dad thousands of times to buy windows xp, but we couldn't afford it, which led me forums and skills to acquire software for free. I remember I downloaded this software called speederxp (or something like that), it was awesome. Anyway, time passed on and I wanted to dedicate something to him.

Sorry to bore you with a stupid story..

Sorry, it's late at night and I'm having one of those days where I think too much and can't sleep. If you consider it promotion, please delete this. Tell me your site brotha when you make it!

Here is one tip: Make the website responsible so it supports mobile devices.

Crazy eh? Well, that's what most people do here in this forum.
Welcome aboard.

Now, if this is your first venture ever, expect failure, and when you fail, stand up, raise another idea and fall again. Eventually you will be able to pile all the failures into success.
Of course, dream and aim for success :)

Good luck brother. I'm sorry about your dog. Don't give up. You have a long way to go. Read the story about megaupload, there's a video of the founder on vice (youtube). Maybe you will find it inspiring.
