    What's up fellow IM'ers...

This is a follow up to my thread posted on 6/15. In the original thread, I announced my plans to QUIT my day job voluntarily after 7 years of working there between the age of 23 and 30 (my entire post-collegiate life)

I was doing this to dedicate all of my time towards the pursuit of my passion for Internet Marketing and I did not want ANYTHING to stand in the way of this goal.

    Here's a link to Part 1:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...0-quit-my-day-job-after-7-years-time-now.html

At one point, I became way too busy to keep everyone updated as I had originally intended, BUT if you read through my original thread, you will find that even though it all started with my most successful 3 day period as an Internet Marketer, the months that followed were SLOW and can only be defined as FAILURE but I never let myself get down about it because I was - and still am - always looking forward. You HAVE to.

I've actually posted a quick update on the original thread, but since it had been a few months since my last post BEFORE my quick update, I wanted to start fresh and re-commit myself to keeping all of you updated with my journey (now that it's a lot more exciting)

That said, I've decided that rather than writing a short story about what has happened since I quit my job (as planned) in October, and things were rough during the first month...

...But I had no choice but to find a way to succeed, since I'm a 30 year old man (and I just got MARRIED in November btw) and I have to support myself, so I worked my ass off, wrote down a CONCRETE plan and then made sure to STICK with my plan, and the result was a pretty decent November

I haven't calculated all of my earnings, but I CAN show you earnings from my TOP 2 revenue sources in November:

    $910 from Streamate: http://mecanto.com/images/earnings/2014/Streamate.jpg

    $1468 from Jvzoo: http://mecanto.com/images/earnings/2014/Jvzoo.jpg

Again, there are smaller income sources not shown here, but those were my Top 2 sources.

In total, the month of November totaled over $3k which is nothing spectacular and it's a long way from my real goals, but this kind of income allows me to keep doing this without the need to pickup any part time jobs, etc.

Furthermore, the earnings from November were a LOT more than my earnings in previous months (on average) so the main thing to note here is I feel that things are moving according to the plan.

Hopefully in the next few days I'll provide a more detailed write up of what has gone down in the past months, around the time I quit my job, etc.

But until then, let me leave you with this...

I still have a long ways to go, but I'm only 2 months in and comfortably able to support myself which is all I need to keep going, keep scaling, etc.

But 90% of my family did NOT want me to go through with this at all.

They thought I was insane to walk away from a stable income because A) it's just not what people in my family do and B) they didn't believe I could do pull it off in the first place.

But it didn't matter and it should NEVER matter what other people think or say.

First of all, they don't know our business like we do. They don't know squat about Internet Marketing to the extent at which it is truly a gold mine.

Unwavering desire and drive is all you need. A good test of desire and drive is how you react to a 4-5 month dry spell. Unfortunately, I have to say that most people reading this would quit and it's not your fault; you cannot force yourself to genuinely want something. If I hit a rough patch for 4-5 months in anything else, there's a 90% chance I would have quit, but the reason I don't do it here is because I love Internet Marketing and it's the only thing I WANT to do...

And I also say that because most of the successful IM'ers out there went through their rough patches, but desire kept them going until they were at the top.

With desire and drive, it doesn't mean a damn thing if people you know express doubt in your plans or not because you know that you're it doesn't mean a damn thing if everyone you knew expressed doubt in your plans because if you believe in yourself, you will notice that other stuff is COMPLETELY irrelevant.

A book called "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill was instrumental in my journey so far and if you read that you will see where I'm going with those statements

See you soon & thanks for all the support in the previous thread, it meant a lot.

Thanks dude. Time permitting, this is something that I certainly enjoy sharing, especially since the IM Journeys section of BHW was my favorite place to be at one point in time. I hope to inspire some of you aspiring IM'ers eventually in the way I've been inspired on these boards.

Great job man! Super happy for you.

May I ask how you drive traffic to the products you promote?

Congrats! Quitting my day job 2 years ago was the best thing I ever did. Just keep at it and you won't regret it.

Yes. I have a branded product review site with Domain Authority of 39 and Page Authority of 46. I picked up the domain I'm using about a year ago via GoDaddy auctions and at the time I planned on using it for my PBN, but once I decided to create a product review site, I nominated that domain to use for it since it was already in pretty good standing. I picked up where the previous owner left off and used my PBN to increase the authority some more. Sometimes I can rank a product review page without any backlinks.

But YouTube is even better. YouTube videos almost always occupy the first 2-3 search positions for any major product launches during the first week or so.

And I use GSA Search Engine Ranker to rank my YouTube videos. Some of them hit, some of them miss, but I use the exact same formula for all of them. The fact YouTube videos are so "hit or miss" is also why I'll create more than one video for any given promo as long as I have the time and resources to do that. GSA was really confusing for me at first, but the more you research and play with it, it starts to become more intuitive. That said, there are still a LOT of things I can learn about GSA; this is a VERY powerful tool and I don't think my results would be the same without it.

I've definitely had to learn and accept that sometimes you have to spend money to make money, but as long as you spend wisely, it will pay off.

EDIT: Also... practically all of my traffic is organic... I don't know crap about Facebook, but that's what I'm looking to next... I want to start using Facebook to get more traffic.

Be sure to take breaks man! At one point in my life I was doing 12-16 hours of work per day 7 days a week. Did that for about 2-3 years. I can tell you that I felt burnt out after all that and it took a LONG time to get back to my grind.

It's nice to take a short break and enjoy the simple things in life.

    Anyways, keep it up bro!

Oh I do man. I work hard when I work but I work less than I did at my full-time job for 7 years, much less 12-16 hrs per day. Dude I don't even have 10+ hrs a day in me! I wish I did! Even though i love IM, there is nothing I can do for more than 7-8 hrs a day MAX. I'm a huge NFL fan but I can't watch it straight from morning to night like some people. Speaking of which, my favorite NFL team plays on the other side of the country but they are going to be in town, so I'm going to see them tomorrow and can't wait! I love video games but I don't think I've ever played more than 2 hours in one sitting. Even games that are as BAD ASS as Farcry 4! On and on it goes....
