so did u guys quit your dayjob when ur IM went high enough? and how much is high-enough?

i'm doing some pretty good money online, and also on my dayjob,
but i don't wanna work in an office till i'm 60, drive to work through all the traffic and the whole shit...

i was just wondering what kind of stories people here have and willing to share, are you living good? near the beach? enjoying life ? or hooked up to the computer all day?

problem with me - is that my day job is system programming and i make pretty good money and i'm in front of the computer all day, and have internet of-course, so i'm really working at least a few hours a day on my internet projects at my work, while still getting paid :)

so it's gonna be hard for me to quit my day job, it's good money and i can pretty much be online most of the time, but it's booring and i cant do this for 30 years....

just sharing my thoughts with you guys (and gals)

I didn't quit any job because I never started one :).
I also don't plan to get one in the near future

    :)
if they fire me that'll be a good solution.
but i'm 32 and just started a few years ago, so i still have a day-job, actually it's a 3 days a week job, not 5, that's makes it even more difficult to leave

I quit my day job about 3 years ago and haven't looked back since. Like you, I sat in front of a computer all day and was bored as hell.

I was dabbling in internet marketing and was doing ok but I couldn't really do more because of my day job so I quit. The company was nice to me so I gave 30 days notice, didn't want to leave on a sour note.

But before I quit I made sure that I had a enough money saved up just in case IM didn't work out. Within about 4 months I was making a lot more than at my day job. Around that same time I had just discovered BHW through a friend. Needless to say I started making even more money.

    Word of advice:

    1. Make sure it's what you want to do 100%.
    2. Have some money saved up to live off of just in case.
    3. Leave the company on good terms, never know when you might need them again.

I hope this helps you to make the right decision.

This post kind of sounds like a testimonial for BHW. lol
