I've made a ton of large linkwheels over the last few weeks. All sites have been pinged and have a PR4 or higher backlink. They are getting indexed but it's agonizingly slow.

I have a feeling I should wait until all sites have been indexed before I activate the interlink structure - I don't really want google to find them all straight away linking to each other (although this precaution is from paranoia, not evidence)

Would it be dangerous for me to try to speed up indexing by interlinking my linkwheel sites before google has indexed all of them?

it's a little risky. i'd say be patient in order to stay under the radar.

I'd somewhat disagree, depending on how "large" the linkwheels are. I've *never* had a problem linking them before they were indexed, but I generally stick with 6-spoke wheels. I can't see you really having trouble, but if they were really large (like 20-30 spokes), It wouldn't be a bad precaution.

Like I said, paranoia aside, I've never had trouble linking them as they're built.

Have the agree with BHcat on this one.

In the few weeks since I started this thread, I've consulted with others and made the decision to only touch each property once i.e. join all the links up at the beginning. In the meantime have seen success with linkwheels created in this way. Logging back in and editing was turning out to be a considerable time drag.

I agree with the cat. I have never experienced problems with interlinking my properties right away.

I say go for it.
