I find that entering into a new niche can be a bit overwhelming sometimes. Since I prefer to try and take a small peice of the the medium niches out there I am constantly trying to find ways to make my websites different. Since my coding skills are limited I try to concentrate on making a very useful site that is easy to navigate and offers lots of information. Since I monetize my websites with adsense right now I don't really mind giving away all of the information. So below are just some quick tips to possibly make your website a little different than the others.

    1. Add a directory to your blog. The directory does not have to be a bunch of outbound links, it can just give the information of a few local businesses within your niche. You can outsource this and do it on any size scale you please.

    2. Write reviews of other businesses within your niche. They can be online or brick and mortar. This can give you the opportunity to rank for their business name as well.

    3. Add a link resource directory. Often times there are many government websites or not for profit websites within your niche that you can link to in order to give your visitors more resources. To find government websites within your niche just do a g**gle.com/unclesam search.

    4. Actively seek guest bloggers within your niche or on a slightly broader spectrum. You can outsource this as well. This will help you bring some freshness to your blog or website and get some free content.

    5. Consider expanding within your current niche. This can take some digging around to find some relevant categories, but it seems like you can always go a little broader.

    6. check out some of the widgets and tools available within your niche. Many times a lot of the bigger competitors in large niches make some pretty nice tools for you to utilize on your websites.

    7. Another big one that I often see over looked is using government rss feeds that are relevant to your niche. There are many rss feeds in public domains that you can utilize to keep your blog updated and give valuable information to your visitors.

    8. Give your users some great free tools they can use. People love free. For example, I made a free sales letter template for the internet marketing niche or you could make job resume templates for the career niche.

These are just a few samples. Please feel free to add more ideas in replies
