Set up a wordpress blog AND a squidoo lens using my main keyphrase this morning.

I dugg them and propeller'd them both and the digg pages appeared hours ago. The 2 propeller pages, the wordpress blog, and the squidoo lens do not appear. Has been over 12 hours.

Is that normal? I dugg another new wordpress blog 2 days ago and only the digg appeared. The wordpress blog never got indexed.

I thought that once the digg pages get indexed, google would follow the links and index them as well. As far as propeller, I have had very fast indexing in the past.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Al

Well in my experience dealing with digg and wordpress posts, you want to make sure you have your titles good and make sure your settings for the permalinks are set up right.

I use /%postname%/

To set these up, go into your admin section on your blog and then

Settings
Permalinks
then down to custom
and use /%postname%/

That way your urls come out

http://www.blogurl/my_post_title/

Google picks them up pretty fast from digg and puts your site in the SERPS for your post title.

Hope that helps you a bit.

I'll check that - Thanks.

with the squidoo, get some other squidoo links using the comments or guestbook featyres on related lenses. This will mix up the backlinks a bit. Same as with the wordpress; use som e well placed relevant comments on other blogs

sometimes it takes squidoo a long time, hubpages usually ranks a lot faster for me.

digg will show faster than anything else always ( for Now) google is in love with it still, but the honeymoon is over with squidoo but still cares for it.
