Quick apology for a bad link I posted in a reply to a BH SEO thread earlier today.

    Hey Guys,

I was posting a reply for shahen22 earlier and got some links, tested the downloads and then posted them...however, one or more appear to have had a virus in them that I didn't catch, according to tonlilaz, the mod that found it and posted my first infraction on my account.

Here is the modified version of the original post and my reply WITHOUT the links for anyone that wishes to check into those books I recommended:

    Original Post:

    My response:

Do a little bit of searching online for the following books:

    Building Social Web Applications
    ____________

    Essential Facebook Development
    ____________

    Building Facebook Applications for Dummies
    ____________

Above are a few virtual copies I found for you. I've tested the downloads and they are all working just fine. Download them, read them, USE them and save yourself the time and trouble of depending on someone else to manage your scripts.

The time and effort it takes to learn and utilize these techniques will prove well worth their weight when you see how much stress, time, money and strain you save in doing it yourself.

    Hope this helps.

    End of Post

Just want to let it be known that I didn't intend to put anyone at risk and wanted to make it very clear that it was an honest mistake and nothing ill-willed to anyone that may have gotten a copy of it.

I have since updated my scanner and caught the small trojan virus that appeared to be in one of the books. Count on the fact that if I do share a link in the future, I will create my own clean file for doing so.

Sorry for any issues it may have caused anyone.

Shit happens bro, nice of you to apologize.

Trojans and Viri are fact of life when you hang out in bad neighborhoods like most of us. :)

Yeah, not sweatin' it , just wanted to man up about it, as it is my fault.

Just wanted to be clear that I didn't do it to burn anyone. Not the way I do things.

Thanks for the support on the matter.

    Ain't that a fact!!

I've had to deal with some of the nastiest shit over the years. I've even had to just scratch it off as a loss and do a reformat more times than I care to remember. That doesn't happen very often, but even once was too many. LOL

@Aftershock - At least it got caught before causing too much problem. Hope you got everything squared away on your side as well. Shit happens...
