Hey everyone I've got few questions regarding SEO that I would like experienced SEOs to answer if you can.

    1. Whenever I'm writing an article or creatign a web2.0 page with 3 links pointing to a different sites but all on the same subject would it metter, and would google give it more value if it was only pointing to one site?

    2. Whenever I create web2.0 site and for example promoting a weight loss product would it be a bad idea to include a link to like a muscle building site, just like at the bottom?

    Thank you all in advance..

1: More outbound links=more places pagerank gets divvied up to=less link juice per link.

2: Not really sure what you're asking.

If it adds legitimacy to your site without leaking too much pagerank and without loss of conversions, do it. Hell, they might even link back to you. Most people will say "no never," but blogrolls are standard practice on real websites that make more money than nearly everyone on this forum. Even ecommerce sites link out sometimes.

EDIT: Clarified answer: Generally don't do it, but it's not the most important thing in the world.

So if I understand clearly I shouldn't be including in my articles/web2.0 pages links to 3 different sites, it would be better off if they point to a single domain?

1-Pagerank is the probability of a visitor clicking a link on page so the more links the page have the less juice the link gets, however there are links that attracts more attention than other so that is when relavancy is important. The more relevant the link is to a page more pagerank it gets. And I have proved it many times. Also, keep in mind link placement.

2-Same principle as first question. Relevancy is what matter here. Pointing to a related link is not a bad idea., some people have reported ranking improvements because of that. Pointing to unrelated sites it's a bad idea.
