    Hello all,

With the Moz PA not working atm for several expired web 2.0, i would like to know what metrics matter the most for you? And how do you Select them

    High TF - Always Register

High CF - Low TF - Should we disregard these because they were spammed?

And The TF/CF Ratio - Should this be between 0 and 2 (max) - in order to avoid spammed properties?

Hope someone can help me, because im getting quite picky with the Web 2.0 i register. This takes time as oposed to just register a high CF.

    Thanks

You're overthinking it. Just register Tumblrs with lots of links to them.

Backlinks is all that matter, those metrics you are outlisting are 3rd party metrics and have nothing to do with Google itself.

Before checking any of the third party metrics like TF/PA check out how many backlinks they have.No point in registering web2.0 with high metrics and no backlinks at all

After Searching online a bit i found two posts (there can be several of these articles online, and the info could be wrong...but i just want to make sure that im doing the right thing)

    http://www.oncrawl.com/citation-flow-vs-trust-flow-what-is-it/

    And

    https://www.gotchseo.com/trust-flow/

this could be a good read, or not, just need for someone to validate the information

thanks for the advice, will keep that in mind

There are some that use Scrapebox. Im using Domain Hunter Gatherer, the Web 2.0 Hunter Version. Great Piece of Software, and the support is excelent :D. The Developer is open to suggestions, and with very fast help if you need it. There is a Sales thread Here, search for it :D

Thanks for the info. I have seen their thread & have heard only good things but at this point of time I am financially unable to afford their monthly price :) Can you tell me how effective the software is to find really high quality (TF,CF,RD) pbn domains? Do you really have to search for it or such domains are scraped and provided abundantly? Wish I could afford them :)

    Thanks again for your reply.

My information doesn't come from searching online, it comes from ranking with Tumblr backlinks. Metrics don't really matter much, just aim for Tumblrs with lots of backlinks and referring domains.

To me, I always check the backlinks profile first with ahrefs. I tend to ignore metrics like tf cf

I moved a very competitive keyword (It's one word) from 12th to 4th and still improving using expired ones. And the only matrices I was looking for is "Trust Flow".

cant accept it totally sir.. back links are that matter the most, the backlinks are actually valued by its backlinks and it all connects somewhere with the 3rd party metrics, after all Google has removed its own metric too.. cant completely avoid the 3rd party metrics, the most importance must be given to the back links of any site not just web 2.0s :)

and to the OP, as far as I know, the most recommended metric ratio between TF and CF is 1:0.8 (which means, CF which more than TF is not a good option)..

I only Use the Web 2.0 Hunter, it only scrapes for expired Web 2.0. You have to keep trying different keywords to find your target domains or web 2.0. But you can use a free tumblr scrapper that a forum member gaveaway: http://www.supagrowth.com/no-opt - actually just noticed that he has another tool to check backlinks...

It Would be great if i had an hrefs account, but i dont :(. And cant seem to find a free backlink checker (there must be a reason why its paid)

Thanks man, i have read about that, and wanted to be sure.

We have to try it ourselves to see what will work. But i dont want to keep sending links from HIGH CF Web 2.0, because that will in turn rise the CF of my Site.

    Still im quite confused...

It doesn't matter what the CF of your site or of the tumblr is, all that matters are the backlinks

I make sure they have backlinks directed to them, have a clear backlink profile and spam-free web archive history.

The reason is because it's a good tool that will help you to check your backlinks and save tons of your time.

You can get paid ahrefs for cheap on fiverr, I've heard someone using this way.

Very excited I found this thread... Even more excited I never deleted any of the expired Tumblr's i found before reading this. Thanks @ProductionsDream for asking the community about this. I have additional Q's for the contributors if I may...

    1. I found a tumblr with a spam score of 6 (moz) I dont see anything alarming on wayback snapshots (it was a viral news blog) how risky would this account be, so out of 10?
    2. Does it matter if the blog was previously in another language?
    3. When checking on Majestic, am I correct in saying, I should be looking at Sub-D and not URL?
    4. Should any consideration be taken for the ratio between backlinks and ref domains?

I'll stop there for the moment. dont mean to hijack this post ;)
@ProductionsDream is your still looking for Ahrefs (or similar) I know a guy, starting around $10/m full access, just pm me.

    Cheers.

PS: sorry if these are total NOOB questions ;)

You're really over thinking it. just make sure they have backlinks directed to them, and make sure none of those backlinks are spam filled.

    1. Absolutely do NOT bother with the Tumblr history or any spam score or anything. It's web 2.0. 50 men can gangrape it and it will still be just fine. Even like it. :)
    2. No, not at all whatsoever. It's web 2.0.
    3. URL is better in this case. But there are minimal differences with Tumblrs when it comes to subdomain (root in this case basically) and full URL.
    4. Tumblrs often have sitewide links, so if it has 20K backlinks and 1RD, then yeh, if it gets deleted, it's worthless, but apart of that no, it's not necessary.
