Ok so boosting my videos in Youtube doesn't seem to be working anymore, with high retention views etc. So i've changed my plan and i'm targeting rank in Google for my videos with a lot of links and social signals.

I just have a few questions. Would this be a lot safer? I mean with buying views etc, there is a small possibility it could be removed (Never happened to me but i have read it is possible) So would blasting my vids with thousands of links be against YouTube TOS and ban worthy in any way?

Also which method would be best? Spamming thousands of links to my video URL or creating a Tiered link pyramid to them? I plan on using SEnuke.

    Thanks.

Tell you what, I personally don't have the answer to this question yet, but I can tell you how you can arrive at your own answer. Just pick one of the YT vids that you know have been SEO'd and run its URL through Ahrefs.

I would but i'm not sure which way would be effective and which way would be a risk. If i spam my video with thousands of links, maybe it will get penalised or maybe this is the way to do it? Whereas if i built a link pyramid, it may not be effective. I just thought i'd seek the advice from pros before doing something that could land me in some bother or get me penalised.

There are no pros, just more of an educated guess. To answer your question, can your video get removed for spamming links to it? Yes, it can. I've had it happen. For what ever reason, a person or persons may complain that you spammed their blog with comment spam and it can get removed. Or, if you send repeated comment spam to a site and the admin sees it he/she could report you. There are risk. I personally have had videos removed for violation of their TOS, it happens. To minimize this risk I recommend only sending comment spam in watered down burst. Meaning don't send more than one post per domain. It's far less likely for a moderator to get mad and report your video only seeing your comment sent once to their blog.

If your using something like GSA or No Hands SEO there are options in those software programs to choose to only post once per domain. A very good option to use. If your doing your own link building pyramids your still going to need to backup those pages with some back link blast. Personally I have had more success blasting links directly to the video versus doing pyramids. That is my own personal experience.

I'm sure you got flagged. There is no way a link caused your video to be removed. If that were the case, why wouldn't people go around adding links to their competitors to get the video removed.

OP: You are adding links to a site that is not yours and is owned my G. They will not remove your video for having backlinks, backlinks help, don't hurt. Your video will be fine, I've been doing this for years.
