I learned alot about email marketing in one day and still have questions. There are some information I can't seem to find anywhere so I have decided to ask the forums.

    1. If I get people to opt-in, will I need to put an address to send affiliate offers to my opt-in list?
    2. Is sending affiliate offers to your list legal?
    3. Does bing/yahoo take direct squeeze pages? Without the privacy policy BS like adwords.

    Thanks guys.

Good luck with the hurricane for those experiencing it and prayers to you all.

I'll give my comments for the first two. I do not deal with SEO so I recommend asking that in its own thread since it is not related to email marketing.

    1) Many ESP's require that you provide a correct mailing address to be CAN-SPAM compliant. Usually, I include the contacts address as my own (merging the data). Also, you can get a PO box cheap and use it. Don't get hung up on it.

    2) If people opted into your list, then it is understood that they will receive related offers. The main thing is that you monitor your reply address for removal request and that you have an unsubscribe link in every email.

Also, be sure to backup your list often. Keep copies of your bounced, unsubscribe, and active.
