Hello Black Hat World community,
Currently, I’m operating a WordPress website with a theme that causes very slow loading times, so I’ve decided to abandon the current site and create a new one. I will be using a 301 redirect and will be building a site in the same niche market.
Once the new site is built, I plan to set up the 301 redirect on the old site and submit the address change in Google Search Console. I’ve heard that it will take about 180 days for the authority of the old site to transfer to the new site. Should I keep the old site's server running for this period?
The new site will be in the same market, but the content structure and design will be quite different. Will this have a negative impact on SEO?
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced a similar situation!
