About a year and half ago I created my first amazon site. Since then I have learned a lot and want to redesign the site from scratch. My question is this: how should I do this? My current site is receiving a few hits from Google and yahoo. If I redo the site will I loose these rankings with new content? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Revamping a website is always tough. I redesigned my entire business website about 4 months ago and I'm very satisfied with the results. If you're just changing the website design and not the content, I wouldn't worry about losing your rank unless the new design significantly slows down your website. If you change the content, however, and the content is of higher quality than it is currently, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Your rankings will remain consistent as long as your urls stay the same. There isn't much, if anything, to worry about while redesigning your website if the above conditions are met (urls remain the same).
