[QUESTION] What is the best option to create a business directory?

I want to create a business directory and I would like to know which is the best option for this.

I am leaning towards WP although I do not rule out other options.

If you have experience in this matter and want to give me your opinion, or recommend WP themes or plugins or other alternatives, I appreciate it.

WP can be a fantastic idea to create directories. You have so many possibilities to manipulate the system, like using ACF do create post types and adding custom fields to posts. So it would be post categories as "business categories", ACF to add the business custom info like location, country, phone, website, whatever.

I would design it with Hello Elementor + Elementor Pro to make it as unique as possible, it's also easy to add the ACF fields everywhere with Elementor. Then use it to create business cats like I mentioned, and create posts categories for "blog" or "news".

I understand what you suggest about creating everything from scratch, but I would like to know in your opinion, what is the best option already existing to create a directory in WP, taking into account that I am not a developer.

I know there are many options, both in themes and plugins, but the truth is that one gets lost in the middle of so many alternatives.

Could you then suggest me some existing option that in your opinion is the best of all.
