    Hi guys

I run a fivver clone and was thinking of charging $5 / month rather than taking a cut of each sale. We are selling many gigs daily but i find it a pain to process payment between buyer and seller.

SO WOULD YOU BE OPEN TO THAT CONCEPT AND PAY? ( i want to know before i pay a programmer to change my site)

    Thanks for your input :)

Personally i think in the long run you'll miss out on some $ but if your already making to much, go that route.

If there's customer traffic, I'd definitely be interested.

I signed up with Fiverr in December which was the quiet period. But i've made $50 so far. I like the fact that if I don't get any sales, I'm not losing any money.

Kinda sounds weird, because if I did it your way, I would have made more...but it's just that feeling of security I guess, that I'm not going to lose money if things are quiet.

Can you hire someone to do the processing for you?

You could also make it perfomance based, say:

    1-10 sales: 20%
    10-50 sales: 10%
    50+ sales: 5%

Since I do about $2500 on Fiverr I have some input that may help you :)
For us Top Rated sellers it would be good if we could

    1. Charge more per gig if we want.
    2. Since we are paying per month let us gather buyers info to communicate.
    3. Let us use our PayPal account to receive payment right away (since we pay by month flat rate.
    4. You can suspend or stop our account if complaints from Buyer are too high.
    5. Let us have ability to direct potential buyer to a page on our domain for more info and sales page.
This I can assure you will justify paying flat rate and will drive us Power Sellers to your service.
    :)

    Hope this helps.

It would be interesting if you had enough traffic + sales. :) Fiverr clones starting out can be brutal in terms of grabbing clients. -_-; I'd have saved a nice amount by now, not nearly as good as Slicer though. Baby steps. >_______<

I have a fiverr clone up and running no offence. but if you want to make real money charging a monthly fee is a bad idea. its better to get percentage.

    1. can be done, fiverr doing this
    2. won't happen for obvious reason
    3. only if you want to deal with claims/disputes directly, maybe limitation as well
    4. i guess he's already doing it w/o asking to do it
    5. same as 2.

    Definitely.

I have bought 400 fiverr gigs within the last 2 months.

Your system would save me $390?

It's certainly feasible, although you might lose some of the sellers who only stop by for the occasional use. If I were you I'd start off taking a percentage of each sale, and when a seller reaches a certain number of sales/month, offer them a "premium" option for a flat rate monthly fee. This way both regular and occasional users are satisfied.
