Hello everyone, I'm still learning and I have questions of course :)

I've read some IM journeys on here and seen a lot of people talk about squidoo, hubpages, weebly etc.

can somebody please tell me what they are used for when it comes to SEO and how they can be utilized?

also, what are some other sites similar to those

    thanks

These sites are used for posting articles on which are relevant to the page/site that you want to promote. Leave a contextual link in the body of the article which points back to your site.

Can these just be one pagers or do you need to build a full mini-site?

You should study tiered link building if you want to understand better. Just google it or type it in the search here. You should find some good explanations pretty quickly.

It's better to have a couple of articles. With Squidoo, I always complete the checklist to 100%. As for other sites, I'll have on average 4 or 5 600+ word quality articles with images/videos.

Okay, that's what I was thinking. And only link back to your money site in 1 article though, right?

OP, these sites are used to make your first tier links. Lets say you write one article and paste it on squidoo, you give one link to your main site in that article..so you get a back link for squidoo. ...and so on..
