    Hi

Currently I am building a small pbn network of 10 domains.
I have spread them across different registrars.

I have put in my real details in whois and enabled privacy protection.
Is this enough or do i need to put in fake whois details ?

Also I read somewhere that google has access to whois information regardless of whether its private or not. How true is this ?

Don't put in "fake" whois info

Talk to people you know and see if you can use their info as 'alternative' whois

Set this up so you don't run the risk of being sloppy down the line and jeopardize all that hard work putting together a PBN

It is fine enabling privacy protection. Using fake information breaks ICANN.

That is enough. When someone searches your site on WHOIS an alternate contact information provided by the third-party privacy provider will be shown.

If all your sites have privacy protection enabled, looks kinda fishy.
Put in friends, put in previous site owners, some privacy, fake names, mix it up.
Make sure you have access to the email addresses for the sites, as THAT is how your site will be verified.

What do you do for the phone number ? If you put in a friends phone number they are going to be spammed to death by advertisers? Thats what happened when i put my # in whois x).
Usually advertisers talk about your sites name too, so a random person could figure out which site used their number.

You need to protect your private info. So you should hide your information when you go for PBN. Because it causes huge footprint and affects your money site. Various ways over here to hide your info. Just learn before you build PBN.:)

While technically you are not allowed to use fake info I have been doing so for years and never had a problem.

The risk is that if you get caught you could lose a domain but it is not like they are trying to hunt down people using fake info.

When your registrar or ICANN want to contact you they will do so via email so you need to make 100% that the email address is valid and under your control.

What I do is forward all the emails to one account so I do not have to check 100's of email accounts. I also create a filter so only email from the registrar is forwarded and the rest is sent to spam so I do not have to deal with all the spam that the public email accounts get.

I keep all the registration info in a spreadsheet including passwords, email accounts used, name used etc so I always have the info handy if I need it.
