[QUESTION] regarding paypal

Okay, so I wanna bypass the $600 w9 tax form thing..

Once i reach the $600 limit on my associatedcontent account, could I just close that account, and then make another associatedcontent account and then link it to the paypal i used with the previous account?

If you didn't understand the question, well, this is basically my concern: I want to know if the $600 w9 tax form thing applies to the associatedcontent account or the paypal account?


If the w9 tax form thing only applied to the associatedcontent account, then I'd be able to close my old account, and then remake a new account but have it link to the paypal i used with the previous account.


can associatedcontent detect that I'm doing this? I mean I am closing the old associatedcontent account, so technically I'd only have one account with that paypal.

The $600 limit is for the AC account.

If you use the same PP account, AC will delete your new account. Even if you use a new email address, as long as it points to the same PP account, AC won't like it.

That's what I've read from posts here.

The best way is to make NEW both AC account AND Paypal account
 
You can try and waste time working hard to stay behind the scenes, or you can work smart. The tax laws are designed for those who make a ton of money. The more you make, the more you need to spend and invest in things that make you more money, which gives you a tax break and makes you more money which means you have to invest for the tax break which makes you. You get the idea.
 
I heard that AC can only detect if you're using two AC accounts with the same paypal account simultaneously. But what if you close the first AC account, make a new AC account, then link it with the old paypal?
 
If anyone can't get verified, I am a US citizen and opened an AC account mainly just to post stuff I write for college classes.
PM me if you need to post content, we can work something out. (I'll pay the same day AC pays me)
 
for what it's worth, the amount of tax you'd have to pay on $600 would be minimal anyway. It would show the govt that u actually did *some* sort of work legitimately and it wouldn't be a big deal. I wouldn't sweat it on freelance income until you're talking many thousands, in which case u need lots of writeoffs.

I am a non-us citizen and have managed to get my a/c verified someway or the other.. but now this w9 verification is coming my way..

the only solution seems to be that I create a new AC account and a new Paypal account and start all over again.. this way am gonna lose my clout for the old account.

Is there any other way of doing this??

Can I connect Non-US PayPal to US AC account?

It is possible for you to create new account once you reach the 600$ AC account but you can use same paypal account.Use the different email address for that paypal account in your new AC account.

Make new AC acount but use old paypal account.But use different email address for that paypal and change the IP also.

Yes you can connect non-us paypal to AC account.

  1. I want to know more on what you said about using new email with same PP account. Some friends here are contradicting this statement (that you cannot use [same PP address + different email address combo]. They say AC will still ban your AC acount for using the combo).
  2. This is puzzling me. Has anyone succeeded in doing the same and AC has allowed them to continue with a new AC a/c with such combo?
  3. Another thing, suppose you are an US person or are doing a JV with US friend and if you earn about $200 per month (hope, this is not an exaggeration :D), and suppose your annual income is about $2,000 from this JV or solo US a/c, then how much US tax would you be required to pay approximately? How to go about the tax payment sharing if you are doing a JV?

You are better off creating a new AC account and a new PayPal account, but it's hardly worth it; you will lose your clout. Unless, of course, you're not concerned with CLOUT.

Well when I was doing AC.I was using 2 AC accounts with same paypal but with different emails.
AC hadn't ban me that time.
 
Using Paypal for payment solutions is just a interim situation, given that Congress passed a law last year requiring US based processors to start tracking and IDing all transactions by 2011. We will all have to stop being dependent on PP soon anyway if we value our privacy, so the issue of getting terminated by them is moot.

As for the party that said taxes on $600 was not a big deal, the problem is some of the BH writers here are writing 700-1000 articles a month to AC and other paid sites. It's better for people earning $2000-$3000 a month across multiple accounts to just bounce to a new account.

But I have done that in past.
Now I am not doing AC.
But in past I have used 2 different AC accounts with same paypal with different emails.

I think some of us here was not really want to avoid tax...

Their problem may be same as me either....is that they using a fake US telp number or address ..
