Hi all, My clients site seems to have www.xyz.com, http://www.xyz.com, http://xyz.com and other variations! From an old agency doing this. All showing differing backlinks etc when I checked them. SO I want to merge them so I can just look at one analytics account - with everything combined. I want it just to consolidate all to https:///www.xym.com as the client wants - how do I do this? Does it take long to take effect?? Thank you
Check this link for .htaccess: http://dense13.com/blog/2008/02/27/redirecting-non-www-to-www-with-htaccess/ As far as the analytics, I never needed to mess around with it to the extent that you do. I'm certain there are custom filters where you can sort all your backlinks with the different prefixes.
