Promoting on this one general talk forum, and don't want the refer to show since I use Adsense. The site has a ton of members, but saw one has admitted to PMing people to get them to click on his ads.. Said he was banned. I run a legit site, and don't do that. The traffic on there is awesome, and it converts, but I want to keep my Adsense ads up..

So, how can I hide the refer? Should I just make the link unclickable (have people copy the link and paste it in the browser) so it shows up as a direct hit? Seems like the safest way to do it, as I don't want to use any thing that remotely is sketchy... I just want to promote my site, but I don't want to get direct hits showing up coming from a flagged domain. Not sure if it is, but not worth the risk.

But have to promote it, this was phenomenal in terms of ROI for me a few years ago.
Also was thinking of a landing page > website. But that just seems sketchy too.
