[Question] PR - How can you be sure that it really has the PR that it shows it has?

    Checking for redirects is full proof ? Can it be faked in some other way?

    Sometimes you can get a rough idea by looking at the pages within a site (if the link structure is simple and if you know which pages do not have links from outside). When it comes to normal Web sites, this is not easy and often is not practical. As far as I know, you can't measure a page's Page Rank any better than 1/30 of a notch on the Toolbar scale.

    So it's a gamble if someone is selling PR ready websites... Even without any redirects...
