Hey everyone, I just wanted to hear your opinions on something.

There are alot of sites you can build links on but they way those links show up in the source code is often very different. A lot of web 2.0 sites don't have show the actual link in the source code and I was wondering how you guys think this affects how link juice is sent to the site. If the link is not showing up in the source code (but exists on the page) does google still count that as a link and pass over link juice?

    Thanks

    Mdsurf,

What do you mean the link looks different in the source code? Are you saying that it is not in an anchor tag? Sometimes links are generated in different ways. For example a link may be generated dynamically by a script. In any case, if a person can follow it, Googlebot can most likely follow it as well.

A good way to check further into this is to see if those links are showing up in webmaster tools or a third party software program.

Perhaps you can find more info here,

    Hope that helps,
