Right now we seem to get most of our followers from manually searching for tweets related to our account and favoriting them, it is a grueling process but it is what brings in the majority of our followers. There is a maximum amount you can favorite though per day, I've read it's 1000 but not sure if that is true or not. It seems to go away after doing a bunch in the morning and then allows us to do more later in the day before not letting you again.

Can anyone explain how exactly it works? It would be great to know. Thanks.

I've seen people with over 1,000 favorites. That's actually not that many at all. I don't think there is a maximum amount.

There's actually a twitter favorite imacros script here on BHW. It'll be much faster if you used that instead of manually favoriting them

You need to allow at least 60 mins per 200 follow. That's the threshold. But it could be 100, I am not sure the exact number.

Do favorites work the same or did you mean to type favorites and not followers?

Favoriting is a great additive to following to optimize the follow back. Just keep st what your doing cause chances are if you go nuts you will get a suspension.

I think you can favorite about 500 a day and be safe on a new account. let it grow & you have to tweet a fair amount (maybe a tweet a day) to make it more legit & not get security alerts (which means you have to go through a bit of trouble to get your account working again). I work on around 30 twitter account of mine that follow 300 a day then unfollow the next day. But when I first started following 300 a day I would get security alerts. But after about one month or 250+ followers I don't get anymore security alerts alerts. All these account also tweet an average of a one tweet a day. I heard and believe that you have to get more content (tweets) of your own out there and twitter will start accepting you more as a legit account (definetly don't just tweet about your affiliate sites). Use tweetdeck to get all the tweets out efficiently, it's absolutely free. I use some simple scripts to automate the follow/Unfollow from each account through unfollowerstats (really useful website & absolutely free). Been doing this for the last two months now & have about 14,000 followers (but on around 30 accounts). It's pretty amazing. Sorry about the rambling.
