So let's say I have a website like "dogs.wordpress.com" and it's finally indexed using some index service because it wasn't getting indexed before.

Will that mean that the posts and pages will be indexed going forward automatically? Or it will still not get indexed...because currently the homepage is showing.

There is a higher chance they will get indexed quicker and without even taking and action.

But there is no guarantee.

indexing the homepage doesn't guarantee that other pages will get indexed, too. Indexing is a "per URL" process, but you can make this process easier by getting in google's good graces (ie: becoming trusted by google by becoming popular and authoritative), but I don't see you getting there with a web 2.0 :)

It depends on what processes were used to get the site indexed. If the url was just requested using Google services and got indexed that way, then there is still no real external validation for the site or why it should be regularly spidered.
If links were built to the property, or included in social media profiles, and those links remain live and are increasing in number, then this shows some form of growth, and that there is at least some sort of 'chatter' going on about it. All factors that can help show some validation for Google to keep on coming back to the site and see what's new and updated.

Posts will get indexed itself in few days or may be weeks if you want to speed up indexing than use indexing service.

It depends upon the quality of the articles. If the articles are high quality and unique, mostly they will index in Google. But you need to wait for some time. If needed you try the indexing services or send some links to those pages.

Glad that your homepage is indexed and showing.
But it doesnt mean all the inner pages will index. Try interlinking to the main pages(that you think) and do wait for some time, it willl be indexed.
Orelse, try indexing services that you used before to index any imp pages

No, they won't.

I have a question, did you try installing GSC on wordpress and sending the pages through the GSC for indexing?
It might help in faster indexing.

If your website is finally indexed, it's a good sign. Generally, when the homepage is indexed, there's a good chance that the posts and pages will also get indexed automatically going forward. However, keep in mind that indexing can take some time, and it's always a good practice to optimize your content for search engines to increase the chances of getting indexed faster.

While having your website's homepage indexed is a good one but we can't give a 100% indexing of all your pages and posts. To increase the chances of your content getting indexed, you should prioritize creating valuable content, promoting your website, and building relevant backlinks. It's important to understand that indexing is not an immediate process and may take some time to complete.

There is no definitive answer to that question. The chance of getting indexed depends on many factors, such as the quality, relevance, and popularity of your site and its pages.
