First off, I don't know if this is a banned topic or whatnot because I THINK I remember seeing something about ewhoring banned, but it didn't look official. And I'm not even sure if this is ewhoring and of course it doesn't have to be.

But basically I'm just wondering, why does everyone go after men for dating sites? It would seem that the women's dating niche would be WIDE open (no pun intended). And it doesn't have to be dating sites? Does RUDE and Webcams offer (I never thought I would say this) men's "services"?

Has anyone ever thought of this or is there something big I'm missing? It seems like it would be profitable, I just have to think of a good method :D

Mostly you would have to appeal to older women or really specific niches. The reality is that 90% of women of reproductive age can just head down to their local bar to get hit on - there's little need for them to trawl online for a man.

What Autumn sad. That's why dating sites are always full with horny fucks, who write the most ridiculous shit to women. You could check out gay male 'services', but I have no idea how well that works.

Men are targeted because we are dumb and will click and sign up for anything with a sexy photo on when the wife is out :)

I have a few twitter accounts promoting adult dating sites strictly to men, but every once in a while a female will sign up.

Hmmm I just have no idea what's going through a women's mind. If only I could read their mind :D

I just feel that it's a completely untapped niche and if you find a good campaign and a good method you could be very profitable.

If you do start talking to a woman or get her to your site (whatever your landing page is), do they know about all the tricks and scams that men know of or are they more oblivious because it doesn't happen to them very often?

Autumn, I'm not sure if you're a women or not because of your avatar, but can any women chime in about this. Preferably from a women's/non-marketing standpoint because obviously everyone here knows the typical tricks of the trade.

I appreciate the replies. Thanks!

It is because men convert better than woman but there are a few the cater for woman mainly AFF

To expand on that, women to target would also be low self-esteem women. Overweight, depressed etc.

I am a woman and the only times I have ever thought of joining an online dating site has been after a divorce, when overweight and during a depression.

My 2 cents.

Its simple.

Women get hit on all day long.... they get home and
have guys blowing up their phone all day and night...
why would they want to sign up ....

Now.... if you make a dating site about finding
the BETTER man, that is looking for a REAL relationship etc

you will get some conversions...

but with the same effort.... you will get 10 times the conversions with men.

Men are use to paying for most of the things we have
women are use to having a man pay for most of the things they have...

lol...... funny but true.
