[Question] Is It Legal And Safe To Translate Content And Put It On Your Site?

    So iv been searching online a bit to find any legal documents that stat that it is legal to translate content and use it as your own (on a page that is). But i didn't had any luck and i was just tired to read any more law documents, so if any of you guys have any information about this please share!

    Found this old post, if anyone is interested but im just searching for the real think. A document of law that states that translating content and using as your own " is not legal"!

    People rewrite articles all the time. You can translate without any worry. Is it ethical? probably not although if the goal of the original person writing the article is to spread information then it's completely fine as you are helping them in that goal. If you are worried about getting caught, don't be there is no way anyone will ever notice you translated the content from somewhere else.

    Ye i get this and for now I'm sure i wont get in any trouble by translating coz i usually translate world news (whats happening around the world) and not some big articles that might be important to the writer. I just want to know if there is any legal document out there that states that, just fore future knowledge....

    Yeah like other guys said, there is nothing wrong about it if you give proper credit to the source.
