For some years I have been thinking about how I have to read the below picture.. as you may see with the indicated arrows then it says at one place last year and on the other this months?

So are there 27k pages indexed now or not?

What exactly you can't understand? Google have indexed 25k+ pages of your website which include pages/subpages/posts/tags/categories/images etc.
That doesn't mean all those 25k pages are top ranked mostlikely somewhere deep in the web :)

Thank you, what I don't understand is that it says "Index Status" Showing Data from last year! that's in the upper left corner but on the graph it says 10/16/16 ? So are these numbers from last year or for this year & month?

Yes okay, seems there is no one really know it, so you may be right.

It's saying data FROM the last year, meaning the last 12 calendar months. So yes, you currently have 27,000 pages indexed since around June 5th.

It looks like you changed your website in may... if your site only has about 15K pages then you may have duplicate content issues... so it all depends how many actual pages your website has.

Great thank you for the help.. now what does this means than?

It is for the same website, for just 2 weeks ago it said 22,400 URLS indexd and over the last 14 days it fall to 5,713 - so to understand it correct the first shows number of pages and the above shows number of urls?

Sorry for these noob questions :)

It means your site map sucks.

Your site map has 24k pages in it, but Google only indexed 5000 of them.

Could also be URL mismatch... a.k.a. Sitemap URLs using www. or HTTP when navigation on site is non-www or HTTPS or some other type of URL mismatch.

Break up the sitemap into types of pages... product pages, support pages, category pages, profile pages... it might only be one type of page that has a problem.

okay yes.. as the new forum software was installed then for a period of 3 months it had 22,3K urls indexed, and then just for 2 weeks ago it dropped to these 5k urls
