I know that RCS-RDS has 20Mb/s duplex plans for 30 euros a month, does that mean I can get 100Mb/s duplex for 150 euros a month,or is there a cheaper rate? Also will they cut someone off,if that person was using 20 TB of bandwidth a month or more?

on the rds plans, it will probably be better to ask the operators from rds.

as with the 20TB issue .. i think it depends if it's a contract on a company or phisical person ( if they were to make frequent investigations.)

chances are they would not make any investigations unless required to by the dmca. so if dmca makes a notice on them, they will have to take action.

since it's a 20TB thing, from just 1ip it should raise some flags. probably the best answer will come from someone that works on rds. to get an answer from someone from rds i think softepdia forum will answer your question.

this is something i'm also curious about, but never had the time to look into it, so if you feel like you got an answer maybe you can post it here as well.

I'm planning on moving to Romania soon, because of the internet and some other reasons, even the regular consumer plan is so much better then what I can get in the United States. Theres bandwidth caps here that are too low,for the already low speeds.

EDIT: I don't know Romanian yet so I cant use that message board.

:) don't worry about the language barrier :p ... chicks will love your accent over the time :p

and about the internet , rds it's best option for you I think ( actually for home users ) , it's enough fast for anything what you need , and there you don't have any limits for use ... ( well ofc don't expect to spam like hell from your home connection specially the email spam ...) ...

Moreover, RDS has also some "hidden" plans that are not in the regular fliers.
Talk to them, and depending of your needs, they can offer you a solution.
Trust me. You only have to talk to them, or at least try to communicate with them if you don't know the language.

I meant just their business service email,i only contacted upc so far, since they post their email online.

Romania seems like a much better place to be for IM instead of the united states. I can easily save ?1500 a month by moving there.

well ... it's good place from all points of view ( if you don't need to travel / you don't need medical assistance / you don't need social protection and so on ... ) actually there the '' government structures '' are missing or they are just filled with fat pigs what aren't working at all looking to catch anyone who need any kind of help to ask for bribes :) ...

Before to do such '' mistake '' my honest opinion it's to check carefully what you have to do ... is not means nothing if you '' save $1500 '' from your bills if your car will broke because of missing decent infrastructure each 2 months or so ... in romania a trip from timisoara to bucharest ( two of the biggest cities from there ) can take sometime more than 14 hours :)) around 530-550 km :) ... and you are lucky if you can make this trip 2-3 times without going with the car on the service after to chance all consumables !

If by any chance you need medical assistance only decent place where you can get attention is Vienna ( capital of Austria ) ... since on romania you have better odds to die from simple intervention , than to win to lottery lol

Not to mention about any other administrative stuffs ( any official papers / documents ) costs in average like 4-5 times their official fees because of the bribes :)

I`m highly don't recommend you to not go for upc broadband ( their network is weak plus they provide you with static ip ....

if your intention is to save money from your work , by moving there it's wrong wrong place where to think about it !
If you have already savings what can provide you a decent living ... then you can bet about this is perfect place to live !!! , I think i said before on forums there ... Romania is one of most beauty places from the world , unique by the natural resources , extremely cultural rich ! , most beautiful and natural spots from europe ... BUT with no substantial reserves of cash on your bank , most probably you will finish like other few millions of poor guys who try to survive from their work ....

I'm from New Orleans so bribery isn't a problem, and the roads are worse here. I'll be registering companies in Montenegro and Bulgaria, but running them out of Romania.

9% flat tax on companies in Montenegro and 10% in Bulgaria. Ill be putting my car under a Romanian company,i heard that exempts it from the 24% VAT.

yes this is true , if you put everything on company name you can take off the taxes , any decent bookkeeper can fix this for you ... anyway you will need one for dealing with taxes things ( around 100 euro monthly will cost you this but no damn harsh with queues and so on ... ) ( you can pull on company loads of stuffs ) ...

I don't know about montenegro and bulgaria but you aren't gonna make too much money with them , since there it's way too hard to keep the business legit ... ( mostly americans will run away when they will heard they have to deal with such exotic companies ) ...

Anyway you don't have to bother ( yet ) maybe for years to come with taxes in romania :) ...

Most Americans still think Bulgaria is still communist:18: And the U.S. government does a good job of propaganda against there so people don't realize that its a tax haven.

well ... it's about well known '' american ignorance '' you know ... couple of days ago I saw a post from someone who seems to be american '' romania who ?'':) ... actually when you are living into such big / large / huge country like usa ... can't even think about small ones like bulgaria / romania and so on ... think about entire bulgarian population is like 20-25% of lousiana ... ( actually I don't know any recent dates about worldwide demography ... just an estimate .. )
Romania have less than 5.5 million of active citizen ( except part time working students and teenagers ) ... it's like less than half of New York population lol :))

Btw if I can ask ... what reasons made you to think to move over the ocean ? Any special reason to think about romania like a posible residence ?

The thing with tax heaven it's not so ... lets say ... '' fair '' , us government does propaganda only because they need to extend their damn military influence , on romania they have to build the last defense system for russian continental squads :)

Asking just from curiosity ... ( well except the tax thing )

:) according to your maths *( saving $1500 ) only from fees and other small day-to-day spends ... PLUS saving maybe 60-65% of what you spend now with '' pitzi '' it's seems your are correct , moving to romania maybe it's best choice lol ...

like a month ago I had a trip to amsterdam ( ofc I was impressed by the city and everything ) ... but 100 euros for few minutes of pleasure even for such authentic south coreean piece ... on romania with same price you can hit it whole night lol :) and next day's maybe you already get in love for a week or so until she start to hit higher :)
