Hi, I hope I am in the right section :)
I have a micro saas store with a few softwares. The sales are doing ok, however I would like to increase the sales by creating scarcity and I was wondering from your own experience if a rectange/popup on the sales page with a countdown of a few minutes and a coupon code that expires , is giving a boost in the sales as it increases scarcity..
example >> "Use coupon COUPONCODE for 10% off, EXPIRES IN [COUNTDOWN TIME]"

I am not using shopify or other popular platforms for niche reasons and I will have to code it in the back end that's why I am asking before doing anything, you think it's worth it or it makes the website looks fake? , any replies are appreciated.

Kiks,
Regards.

It really depends. Each niche, each product, each type of website has its own clients. If the website already has popups and they don't annoy buyers, then one rectangle with a coupon surely won't. I never had issues with decreasing sales after adding a coupon countdown but I did have one website where clients told me it was annoying and I actually ended up removing it.
