Suppose you have a "reused content" problem or whatever, a demonetization where they say "a significant portion of your channel is not in line with our YouTube Partner Program policies."
If you have only long format videos, then it's one or many of these videos, you can't know, so you are forced to delete videos and re-apply until it works.
My question is, what if you upload shorts and manage to get millions of views with viral shorts until the long format that caused the demonetization is a small amount compared to the views you've got with the shorts? Then in theory whatever was causing that demonetization wouldn't anymore be "a signification portion".
Im just trying to think of ways to remonetize channels without killing them in the process since you need to delete videos and some of these videos are the main ones that get most of the views. So my idea is to get a ton of watchtime on shorts so you no longer need to delete the videos.
