    Hi,

I'm about to make a deal for something I need done online but I don't feel safe. I've been scammed fwe times before and now I'm really trying to make the best to avoid any scam again. A lot of people who added me are new members here and they've got not much reputation, so I was wondering what is the best way to avoid scam? Escrow/middle-man? If so, which services do you guys recommend? The payment is most likely to be sent via PayPal.

    Thanks.

Don't buy off someone without an official BST thread.
And if they are trying to sell you by PM report it.

    Yes, get a middle man.
The likeliness of being scammed does not depend on the reputation of the person, in my point of view people with higher reputation are more than likely going to take advantage of their reputation as it gains them trust which will help them scam.

A lot of people know that they can take advantage of people if they have a good reputation, for example look at the people who do things such as "will write for articles for 8 hours" they're just trying to get reputation..who knows what for, probably to decrease the weight of a few newbies wallets.

Bottom line is...reputation is just something you can gain over night, anyone can scam you..you just have to take risks it's part and parcel of IM.

What I'm trying to purchase is a script for a website (web developer) and they mostly ask for x% amount before they start working but I don't feel safe that way!
