Is register compass a good program for a beginner when finding pbn domains? Or are there others that I can purchase and do myself instead of paying monthly fees?

Register compass is a great tool but there is basically no difference between it and expireddomains.net, which is a free tool as mentioned above. So, save your money and use expireddomains.net.

I am aware of expireddomains but doesnt everyone use that and it only looks through godaddy. Plus expired domains doesnt have a lot of metrics

Public methods/tools of finding PBN domains are pretty much saturated. You need a custom method with your own twist that hasn't been made public yet.

I have used register compass for 1 month, But there is no better benefit than expireddomains.net , I suggest you to use expireddomains.net
