These are certainly noobs question so any answer is appreciated.

Is there any relation between proxy type and port?
Why port like 3127,3128,3129 are not accepted by CL although they are very fast ?

I can post occasionally to CL using elite proxy. Only port 80 is accepted by CL others such as 8080 or 9090 generally fails. This incidences make me inquisitive about port.

Any help about getting anonymous , elite fresh and working proxy for UK. I need then to post on Gumtree.

The port has nothing to do with this.
The port is just an indication what type of proxy server is used.

Always check the currently used proxy before doing something with it.
    You can use this analyzer:
    Code:
    http://proxy-check.squabbel.com
NEVER trust a "board" or "list", the information is usually outdated and inaccurate + public (rogue) proxies are usually operated against the knowledge and will of the server owner so the configuration is nothing to be trusted in and can always change.

The reason why you could not use the proxies is probably one of those:
    a) It was already abused too much
    b) It was transparent or leaked proxy identification signs to the webserver

    Justone,

    Many thanks for your advice.
You are absolutely correct as I have come to know those fact by my experience. Last seven days i have searched a nos of different sites and boards, scaned their lists and found the truth that you have wrote here in those few lines.

I used to use TOR and I am very much aware about your clockfish and also interested to get one license for 5 IPs for 30 days but to me it is really costly. Can't we non US and non Europe people have some cheaper rate package so that we can afford that for few months and those who want to post CL 1-2 ad per day.

Take it as an request from a member of a non affluent country.

    Hi,
The problem is that I have many customers from all over the world and each customer is a possible support case at least once in his life. The few $ are already pretty low, if I lower these more then the time I have to spend per customer on average doesn't make it a good business anymore.

But in your case, if you just need a few IPs why not use the tool Charon on large proxy lists ?
I am very sure you'll not have a problem to find a few IPs per day that work acceptable.
Also plain Tor will do it for your purpose I think, maybe a bit unstable but it's free after all.

I agree with you, 9090 doesn't work with cl. What is this port and why wouldn't it work? I don't use them to post on cl but I do some work for someone that does post there and we've found that this port doesn't seem to work.

Cl must be blocking this port.

I have found one surprising thing that if whatismyipaddress.com shows any suspicion about an elite proxy CL also block that IP but kijiji and backpage responses well.

That's because kijiji and backpage aren't yet at the point of too much spam that they're looking to block certain types of ips or proxies.

What kinds do you find work best with cl? Since the beginning of this month certain proxies that used to work great no longer work. cl may be using some kind of check list of certain proxies and whether they are open proxies or not. I think this is in fact what they are doing.
