Hmm sorry im new to this website thing

can someone explain to me what backlinks are and wether or not this would help me make sales if i am a affiliate of clickbank?

i read somewhere on this foum that you cannot get banned by google is this true?
I also read that prstorm does not work anymore for google, is that true as well?

Also i already gathered around 200 urls that match my keywords, is that enough.
One of the last questions... for now... is there suppose to be cirtain types of websits i should be targeting so i can get backlinks (whatever that is) or will i get backlinks from all of those websits?

    XD sorry for the trouble.

    wait 1 more lol
If prstorm is not a good way of getting traffic to your website to make sales as an affiliate, which program would be good? (besides bmd4 cause i cannot find a current working version for it and im pretty much broke for the moment o_O)

    ty in advance!

Backlinks are basically links from other sites which link back to your website. For example, let's say my website is http://somet hing.com and your site is http://mymo neysite.com. If I had link back to your site that could direct my visitors to your website. More importantly search engines would see YOUR link on my site and if my site was popular and your wasn't the search engine would visit your site to see why my site was linking back to you.

This is an oversimplification but I think you get the idea.

Three things are important when it comes to backlinks:
    1) The backlinks should ideally be one way -- meaning websites link back to you but you're not linking to them
    2) The backlinks should ideally come from authoritive sites such as edu, yahoo, myspace or other well established sites
    3) The backlinks should ideally come from sites which are in the same niche as you -- although this isn't as important as the above two.

Basically backlinks can get your website indexed by search engines which helps you gain organic traffic and depending upon the backlink it can also refer organic traffic directly.

Any traffic or anything you can do to get search engines to recognize you can help your affiliate program. However, actual sales will depend upon the program you're selling and the website you have set up to convert visitors to buyers.

As to Google, who's to say what it will or won't do. Google tends to be BiPolar with violent mood swings. Best to give Google minimum preference and focus on other forms of traffic. I've been making money on the Internet since the beginning and have seen many search engines come and go. I've never used or depended on any of them for my income.
    JMHO

PRStorm works (although I don't think it's supported anymore) but you can't overdo it. You've got to take it slow and easy and stay under the radar.

    Enough for what?

As to types of websites for backlinks: Focus on established, popular, edu, government and PR4 and above websites. I've had great success over the years by doing this.

I don't think PRStorm will make you sales directly. All it does is help you gain organic traffic. Sales and traffic are two different things. Traffic gets people into the store, but you still have to have something they want to buy at a price they want to buy it and present it in a way they believe they'll get what they're buying.

I personally would do a search here on BHW if you're looking for traffic. There's quite a few people willing to help you in this area for very little money. Some for $30 and others for $70. They're excellent services. The other way to go is to get some high quality articles and submit them to article directories. This could provide you with some excellent quality and targeted traffic.

Sorry for the long answer. Hope this helps. If so, please say THANKS================>
