I understand that a Meta refresh redirect set to 0 seconds will be treated as a 301 by the search engines. My question is what if the meta refresh is set to 1 second? will it still be seen as a 301?
I'm asking this because I have been researching how to make doorway pages lately and haven't been able to get an answer to this online.
    Thanks

It won't be seen as a 301 by default, no. Both a meta refresh and 301 are directions sent to the browser. Google can see both unless they are cloaked somehow... and Google won't see a meta refresh and give you credit for a 301, they know what a meta refresh is. However, I don't think they care much between a meta refresh and a 301 frankly. In normal situations

Second, I know that Google is getting more cranky about messing with meta freshes, so I'd imagine that setting timers longer than 0 uncloaked would look odd to them.

But... take this with a grain of salt since I do not do cloaking, I build sites though.

Can Double Meta Refresh be used for doorway pages? I know regular meta refreshes cannot be as Google is wise to them.

I don't cloak, but my guess would be no. Google is anal about meta refreshes in general. The only thing I know that Google isn't amazing at analyzing is javascript, so although I don't cloak I'd guess that most successful cloaking has something to do with javascripting. No idea how.

How About using PHP redirects for doorway pages? Would it work?
Does a PHP redirect pass link juice?
