Question about linkshare!

I recently came across the affiliate programs by linkshare or linksynergy. While registering for their affiliate I discovered that their sites were automatically blocked by my browsers.

I have a few questions -
Has anybody tried any of their affiliate programs?
Are their cookies blocked by most browsers?
And can you make any money with these affiliate programs?
What is their mode of payment?
