I know that I am not supposed to open a thread on every little question I have, but I couldn't find a suitable thread to ask this, and where I posted it, nobody answered me.
So, if there is some kind of a thread for these kind of questions, let me know.

So, my question is, when you do a keyword research for affiliate marketing, how many local monthly searches must a keyword have for you to choose it? how many broad and exact searches?

    thanks in advance

First, you go to Google and type allintitle:your keyword, if the search number shown is less than 5,000; that's typically a good competition level to go after.

Second, go to "Google keyword tool" and type your keyword and select only your country's location, you'd want a keyword that has more than 1,000 searches.

Remember the first position in Google gets 30%, the 2nd position gets about 12%, and the 3rd about 8%, positions 4-10 get anywhere from 2% to 15%.

So if you are #1 on a 1,000 search keyword, you'll receive about 300 visitors a month.
