How do I set up so that I will pay via paypal monthly?I just choose subscribe option upon making my account? So after that it will deduct automatically per month?
Let's say my paypal account has $50 now but I choose the one year option which costs $100,will my transaction go through?

Log in to your Hostgator account and go https://gbclient.hostgator.com/subscriptions

Set up your new subscription. Set it up to pay on the "Renewal Cycle" date for your package. If you want to change your renewal date you will probably have to open a support ticket.

If your paypal account has enough funds to cover the transaction on your renewal date, it will go through. But if you wanted to pay a $100 invoice right now and you only have $50 in your account, then that wouldn't go through. Paypal doesn't let you have a negative balance (ie they won't extend you credit).

They give you a little better deal if you pay yearly but if you don't have the cash, just set up a monthly payment option.

Every once in awhile go back and double check that it's charging you properly. One time a day after my normal billing all my sites were down.

Their auto subscription had stopped billing me X months back and never tried to rebill me so the account was shut down.

There was a glitch and the subscription was cancelled leading to account payment problems.

Im setting up a new account not a renewal so if my paypal balance is $50 and a year hosting is $100 and I choose a monthly subscription option, the transaction wont go through?Sorry but i didnt quite get what the earlier poster said.
Does host gator accept Paypal that is verified but has no CC attached to it?

    Thanks a lot

Don't order the 1-year option. Just order the monthly option and they will auto-renew it every month. It will be set up as a paypal subscription.
